Five-Star RB Changing Things Up?

Last February the Seminoles landed the No.1 running back in the country in Antone Smith. This recruiting year, Florida State is trying to land the top running back in the Southeast. The 5-foot-10 and 185 pound standout visited Florida State unofficially for the Miami game.

"It was real exciting game," C.J. Spiller of Lake Butler (Fla.) Union County said. "Both defenses were great but the offenses needed some work. The atmosphere was real exciting. Before the game, I spoke with Leon Washington."

Recently, the Noles have been on top but Spiller has changed up his top five.

"Michigan, USC, Miami are my top three," he said. "Florida and Florida State are four and five. I'm just looking at some different things like who is returning at offensive line."

The Hurricanes, who moved ahead of the other two Florida teams on his list, have made quite an impression with him.

"I was really surprised how many times Miami ran the ball," he said.

Recent Florida State commitment Myron Rolle is recruiting him for the Garnet & Gold.

"He called me the day after his announcement," Spiller said. "We talk about three times a week. Myron tells me that it would be great to play together."

This past Friday, Spiller rushed for 187 yards and three touchdowns.
