Tonight free safety Anthony Leon of Gulliver Prep called the Florida State's coaches up to give them the good news.
"I committed to Coach Colzie and Steele tonight," Leon said. "I felt like Florida State was a good fit. Everything is positive about them."
Leon, who will visit FSU in a few weeks for the Maryland game, is considering taking other visits.
The South Miami standout hasn't played football since his freshman year in Atlanta.
"I played varsity football as a freshman at Marietta high school but I took the last two years off to play basketball," he said. "I was born in Miami but we moved to Atlanta because of Hurricane Andrew. We moved back to Florida during my sophomore year."
As a junior Leon was selected to the 2nd team All-Dade basketball team by averaging 16 points and six rebounds per game.
As a senior, Leon has already recorded over 40 tackles to go along with two interceptions.
Coaches Comments: Anthony has great all around ability. He has soft hands and good body control. He plays safety but hits like a middle linebacker. He is very much a sleeper guy who will continue to receive offers as the season continues. He is a game-changer.
