Southeast's Top RB Visits FSU

Last Saturday the top running back in the Southeast took an unofficial visit to Tallahassee where the Noles squared of against Maryland. What were the thoughts from the Lake Butler Union County standout?

"It was a very good game," five-star running back C.J. Spiller said. "The offense is a lot better than what I saw last spring. The running game was ok. I like how they rotate running backs. They always have a fresh back out there which wore down the defense."

Spiller was also able to talk with several recruits and coaches before and after the game.

"I got to meet the quarterback from Georgia who is committed," he said. "I also got to talk with Marcus Sims. We exchanged phone numbers and I'm going to gave him a call soon. I stayed for about 30 minutes after the game to talk with Coach Allen."

Each week, Spiller receives phone calls from several coaches, including Florida State.

"Florida State feels like there's a chance that Lorenzo Booker will go pro," he said. "If he doesn't, that would be a major concern for me."

Spiller has befriended Florida State safety commitment Myron Rolle.

"We talk on the phone every week or two," he said. "I'm going to give him a call soon so we can talk about rooming together in San Antonio which would be fun."

The No.1 running back will visit Southern Cal on November 3rd for an official visit. He also has plans to visit Clemson unofficially for the Florida State game. He will also visit Gainesville unofficial for the Florida-Florida State game.

"I'm taking my mother to the Florida game," he said. "They need running backs."
