FSU Adds Two Men's Basketball Players

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Two non-scholarship walk-on players, both Floridians, will join the Florida State men's basketball roster for 2005-06 season.

Adding depth to the Seminoles will be 6-5 freshman guard Brian Hoff (Jacksonville, FL) and 6-7 forward Matt Zitani (Port St. Lucie, FL), a junior transfer from Indiana River Community College.

Hoff played his prep basketball at Arlington Country Day helping lead his team to the state championships in Class 2A his senior year. He led the city of Jacksonville in 3-point field goal percentage three times, as a sophomore, junior and senior.

Having a career-high 26 points as a sophomore, Zitani helped lead his team to the state junior college tournament as a sophomore while gaining an Associates Degree in business.

The Seminoles open the regular season as they travel to play at Jacksonville Nov. 19 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
