"I've decided to visit Tennessee sometime in January," Brandon Warren of Alcoa (TN) said. "Tennessee is 15 minutes down the road and my family support is important to me. They have always been there for me."
Does that mean that the Noles are slipping with the 6-foot-2 and 230 pound tight end?
"Not really," he said. "I'm 100% sure committed but I just want to check to make sure. Florida State has always been a childhood favorite of mine. Everything is great about them from the coaches to the fans."
Warren feels like that his opportunities to play at both schools are pretty close to equal.
"Florida State is losing three tight ends to graduation," he said. "Tennessee doesn't really have a tight end that can stretch the field."
Last week, Warren hosted coaches from both schools.
"Phil Fulmer was at my home last Sunday," he said. "He reminded me about my family being able to see me play all the time. Coach Lilly stopped by last Thursday. He told me to go on with my dream. He told me that he's fulfilling his dream of coaching with Bobby Bowden."
Warren will also set a visit to Florida State sometime in January.
