Noles Offer and Lead for Georgia WR

Yesterday, coaches from both Georgia and Florida State made an in-home visit with one of the top athletes in the state of Georgia. Florida State extended an offer to the 6-foot-2 and 195 pound standout from Tyrone (GA) Sandy Creek.

"Georgia and Florida State were at my house yesterday," wide receiver Brent Brewer said. "The Georgia visit went very well. Coach Garner and Martinez want me to play either defensive back or wide receiver. The Florida State visit went well also. Coach Allen wants me as an athlete. I'll probably play wide receiver."

Many people think that the Dawgs are probably the odds on favorite for Brewer but that isn't the case.

"Florida State is the slight leader," he said. "I've always wanted to live in Florida and I love Coach Allen. The atmosphere is great there and I can play baseball."

Seminole quarterback commitment D'Vontrey Richardson will be a factor in his decision.

"We have become friends and we would like to play baseball together," he said.

Brewer, who runs a sub 4.3 40-yard dash, will visit Ole Miss (1/13), Georgia (1/20) and Florida State (1/30).
