Projected Spring Depth Chart for the DL

With spring football practice less than a week a way, Renegade previews the projected depth chart across the defensive line.

NG: Paul Griffin- (Junior) - Griffin, a mid-term enrollee, was a terror at Butler Community college where he was the top defensive lineman in the Jayhawk conference. The 6-foot-1 and 280 pound fireplug is the odds on favorite to replace Broderick Bunkley. As a sophomore at Butler, he recorded 45 tackles and four sacks.

Aaron Jones- (sophomore) Jones has the size and power to be a perfect nose guard. However, injuries and poor work-ethic has slowed his progress. The former All-State high school defender has had an excellent off-season in workouts.

Letroy Guion- (sophomore) – Guion, the former Gainesville Player of the Year in high school, has the potential to play on Sundays. He won't go this spring due to ankle surgery. However, look for him to be a big-factor in the fall.

Defensive Tackle: Andre Fluellen- (Junior) - Fluellen has a very good year as a first year starter for the Seminoles despite playing several games with a cast on his hand. As a sophomore, he recorded 26 tackles with seven and half going for a loss.

Emmanuel Dunbar- Sophomore- Dunbar did very well as first year player for the Seminoles. With some added strength, the 6-foot-5 and 295 pound standout could star in the ACC.

Left Defensive End: Alex Boston: (junior) - Boston, who was slow to recover from a knee injury, showed some life at the end of last season. The 6-foot-3 and 265 pound standout has had an excellent off-season in workouts and he's finally healthy.

Neefy Moffett: (sophomore) - Moffett, a first year player, showed flashes of greatness. However, he had a poor showing in his first off-season of workouts. The 6-foot-1 and 245 pound standout has what it takes to be a special player. The true freshman recorded nine tackles, three for loss, two sacks, and two QB hurries.

Right Defensive End: Everette Brown- (freshman) Brown terrorized quarterbacks in the North Carolina prep ranks. He has had received excellent reviews during his redshirt season and during off-season workouts. The 6-foot-4 and 240 pound standout recorded 120 tackles with 16 sacks as a senior in high school.

Darrell Burston - (Senior) - Burston won't go this spring due to off-season shoulder surgery but he's the odds on favorite to start in the fall.

D.J. Norris- (Junior) Like Burston he also had off-season shoulder surgery and he will miss the spring.

Justin Mincey- (Freshman)- Mincey won't enroll at Florida State until the summer but the 6-foot-5 and 250 pound standout will compete for early playing time in the fall.
