DL Shines in Jacksonville

One of the top players at the Scout.com camp in Jacksonville plays his high school ball at Jackson high school. The 6-foot- 5 and 280 pound standout showed why he might be the top prospect in Florida by dominating the one on one drills as a defensive lineman. He also showed why he might be considered an elite tight end prospect. The Noles and Gators are in hot pursuit.

"I'm heading over to Florida State for Junior day next Saturday," D'Angelo McCray said. "Coach Odell Haggins keeps in real and I feel like I can trust him. Florida State needs more lineman."

The Florida Gators are also pursuing the Jacksonville standout.

"It's probably going to come down to Florida and Florida State," he said. "I think Florida wants me at tackle and Florida State wants me at end. I'll play anywhere, including tight end."

Defensively McCray finished 2005 with 75 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He, also caught 24 balls for 370 yards and a touchdown from his tight end spot.
