Lakeland Five Love FSU

Florida State held it's first junior day ever. Some big-name juniors showed including, five players from Lakeland (Fla.) team who recently won the National high school championship.

"All of us have all been offered (LaShawn & James Pouncey, John Brown, Chris Rainey and Ahmad Black)," LaShawn Pouncey said. "The highlight of the trip was all of us being together and meeting some players."

Some of the players they met were Drew Weatherford, Lorenzo Booker, Andre Fluellen, Myron Rolle and Everette Brown.

"They told us what the deal was and Florida State still leads Florida and USC," Pouncey said.

Their teammate Chris Rainey grew up a Gator fan but the star-running back was impressed with his time in Tallahassee.

"I like Florida State's junior day a little better Florida's because the players were so cool," Rainey said. "I would say both schools are even now. My teammates want to go to Florida State and they said I'm going where they're going."
