Noles Offer Louisiana Standout

One of the country's top defensive line prospects resides in West Monroe (LA) and it looks like the Seminole coaching staff has identified him with a scholarship offer. Where do the Noles stand?

"Florida State just offered," defensive end prospect Luther Davis said. "I was real excited about that because Florida State was my favorite team growing up."

Teams that top the list for the 6-foot-4 and 260 pound standout are LSU, Florida State and Ole Miss.

"LSU is the in-state team and they have some great coaches," he said. "I see them being on top for at least the next five to ten years. Florida State has been my favorite as long as I can remember and my father is a real big-fan of Bobby Bowden. We plan of visiting Florida State next week during my spring break. Florida State puts a lot of defensive players in the NFL and I want to see first hand how they do it for myself. Ole Miss has Coach Orgeron and he's a great coach with a lot of energy. I feel that I really fit into their defensive scheme."

As a junior, Luther finished with 74 tackles, six sacks, ten quarterback hurries and 14 tackles for a loss.

"I feel causing fumbles and sacking the quarterback is my game," he said.

Luther is an excellent student who is on track to qualify academically.
