Five-Star DT Visits FSU

Lakeland (Fla.) is the home of the top defensive tackle in state. A week a go the 6-foot-1 and 285 pound standout visited with the Noles for their junior day.

"It was great," John Brown said. "I got to watch the scrimmage and they have a lot of players making plays. We also got to meet some players like Drew (Weatherford), Myron Rolle and Lorenzo Booker."

Brown also got a chance to visit Ole Miss this past weekend with his teammate Ahmad Black.

"They have a lot of great players and their practice was very intense," he said. "I went up with Ahmad and his father."

Where do the Noles stand with the Lakeland defender?

"They are pretty much at the top because I've always liked Florida State," he said. "The defense line Coach Odell Haggins is probably my favroite recruiter. I also like Coach O at Ole Miss."
