"I just took the SAT test on Saturday," Delray Beach Atlantic's Preston Parker said. "My GPA is 2.4 and my latest test score is 800. I was told that I need slightly above a 2.5 to qualify. Things are going well in my last semester of school so I feel I'll make it in just fine."
While waiting to start his career in Garnet & Gold, he's working out and running track.
"I run the 4/100 and 100 meter in track," he said. "My fastest 100-meter time is 10.9 seconds."
Parker plans to move up to Tallahassee in June and he's excited to start his career as a Seminole.
"I don't regret my decision one bit," he said. "I'm excited about the opportunity. Coach Lilly and Coach Dugans tell me that I can get into the mix and return punts. My brother goes to FAMU and my cousin graduated from Florida State so I'll have family around."
Parker will start out his career wearing the jersey number of 87 but he hopes to change that number in a year.
"Chris Davis wears number 5 and he's a senior," he said. "I plan on getting that number the following year."
The South Florida State caught 50 passes for 1,150 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior. He also returned ten punts for scores over his four year high school career.
