LA Standout Likes FSU's Family Feel

One of the top players in the Southeast is looking hard at the Seminoles. On Junior day, the 6-foot-3 and 165 pound standout from Sterlington (LA) checked out the Garnet & Gold.

"What I liked about Florida State was the family atmosphere," wide receiver Ahmad Paige said. "Guys like Drew Weatherford and Myron Rolle spoke to us prospects. The players acted like a family. They do everything together. Florida State isn't all about Football. They are about building character and getting a good education."

Paige has also been to other juniors days, including LSU and Texas.

"I've been impressed with all the places that I have been," he said. "The two places that intrigue me are LSU and Florida State. I plan on camping at these schools over the summer."

The Louisiana standout has befriended another prospect in defensive end Luther Davis.

"We met at the LSU junior day and since then we hang out all the time now," he said. "We would like to go to the same school together. We both like LSU and Florida State. Also, the relationship that the coaches have with the players will be a factor."

The Noles will have a shot but the in-state team will give them some stiff competition.

"Distance won't be a factor but it would be easier for my family to see my games, if I went to LSU," he said. "I have people come up tome all the time and tell me to support the state."

As a junior, Paige, hauled in 44 passes for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns with an amazing 27 yards per catch average.
