"It was the first time that I have ever been to Tallahassee and I came away impressed," Brian Maddox said. "I really liked the stadium and I got to meet most of the coaches. Coach Bowden was away accepting an award. Florida was very nice and Coach Meyer is a great hands on coach."
Maddox isn't claiming a leader but the rumor is that South Carolina is the team to beat.
"I like South Carolina a lot but I have no leaders right now," he said. "Florida and Florida State are two out-state teams that I could see myself playing for in college I can see them giving South Carolina a run for their money."
The 5-foot-11 and 215 pound power-back is looking for a school where he can get a good education and a place where there's a strong relationship with the coaches.
"I want to major in Mechanical Engineering so selecting the right school for that is important," he said. "The coach-player relationship is also important to me."
Maddox will make a decision on his birthday May 28th.
As a junior, he rushed for 1328 yards on 206 carries with 305 receiving yards.
