Where Do the Noles Stand with Georgia TE?

The Seminoles already have a verbal commitment from a football player from Columbus (GA). The Noles have thrown their name in the hat for another player from that area by extending an offer to the 6-foot-4 and 245 pound standout.

"Florida State just offered me," Bruce Figgens from Columbus (GA) Shaw said. "I went down to their spring game and I had a good time. Florida State was my favorite team growing up and they do put a lot of players in the NFL."

Where does the Garnet & Gold stand now that they have offered him?

"Georgia is still my leader," he said. "I really like them and they have a tradition of great tight ends. Coach Richt was talking to me about how I would fit into their offense."

Seminole Antwane Greenlee is very good friends with Figgens and they both would like to play for the same school together.

"We have known each other since we were little," he said. "We played against each other in football leagues. I'm not sure if we'll end up playing for the same team because he's real big on Florida State. He keeps telling me how Florida State is such a good place to go to school."

This summer the Shaw high school standout will camp at Georgia, Clemson and Auburn for a day each.
