Ole Miss Commitment Looking at FSU

Okolona (MS) is the home of the Oxford Scout.com combine MVP. The 6-foot-1 and 187 pound standout, who is an Ole Miss commitment, has decided to look around to make sure the Rebels are the right fit for him. One team he'll take a hard look at is the Garnet & Gold.

"Florida State came to my spring game and they called me on the phone," running back Robert Elliot said. "They lost a back to the ACL injury in the spring and they need another speed back. They want to take two running backs."

How much interest does he have in the Seminoles.

"I'm very, very interested in Florida State," he said. "They have a great head coach. I'm trying to set up a visit in the fall. I would probably say that Florida State and Mississippi State has the best shot in terms of changing my mind on Ole Miss. My sister is a student at Mississippi State and I have two former teammates there as well. Distance from home won't be a factor."

Elliot is one of the top overall prospects in the entire Southeast and he showed why during his spring game by rushing for 150-yards on ten carries.

"I only played in two quarters," he said. "I rushed for 1,800 yards last year but I had to share the carries. This year I'll carry the load about 75% of the time. I think my top assets are my accelerations and my stamina."

The Mississippi standout is an excellent student in the classroom who wants to major in Physical Therapy.
