Noles Will Get Visit from Miss OL

The State of Mississippi is loaded with high school football talent and the Noles are pursuing one of that state's very best from Madison (MS) Central. Where does the Garnet & Gold stand with the 6-foot-4 and 275 pound standout?

"Florida State is close to offering," Chaz Ramsey said. "I talked with Coach McHale on the phone and he said that tomorrow he'll let me know if he'll offer me a scholarship. He's going to watch my film. Florida State needs some more guard/centers."

Ramsey has a very busy summer head with a vacation to the Florida Panhandle followed by unofficial visits to several programs.

"Next week we'll have a family vacation to Destin (Fla.)," he said. "After that I'll visit LSU, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Florida State. LSU will be on June 3rd and FSU will be my last stop in July."

The Magnolia state standout is open to all the team on his list but he'll probably play his college ball in the Southeast.

"Michigan has offered and I'll probably check them out," he said. "However, I'll probably stay in the South."

At a recent combine, he bench-pressed an impressive 185 pounds 31 times. He also had a vertical jump of 30 inches.

"I feel that my assets on the field are my quickness and strength," he said.

Ramsey is up to 12 scholarship offers, including ones from Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Michigan and South Carolina.
