Bartram Trail Standout Will Camp at FSU

Florida State will hold their first summer football camp session starting on July 5th in Tallahassee. One of the top offensive linemen in North Florida will attend in hoping of earning a scholarship offer from the Garnet & Gold.

"I'm supposed to head over to the Florida State camp on July 5th and 6th," offensive tackle Thomas Edenfield of Bartram Trail said. "After that I will head to Clemson, North Carolina and South Carolina for unofficial visits. I've already camped at Florida."

All the teams listed above have already offered the 6-foot-6 and 295 pound standout except the Seminoles.

"I was told that I probably would get an offer at the Florida State camp," he said. "I know a lot about them because I use to live in Tallahassee. I played for Lincoln as a sophomore and I still talk with Craig Stevens, Seddrick Holloway and Brandon Paul. I like Coach McHale a lot."

Right now Edenfield has a top three of Clemson, Florida and Nebraska but the Noles could sneak up his list.

"If Florida State offers, they will be up there with the rest of the teams," he said. "Right now they have two commitments and I think they want to take two more linemen. Florida has commitments from the Pouncey twins and they want to take two more."

Speaking of Florida, the Gators are hot after his service.

"Florida is recruiting me very hard," he said. "I probably get about four to five text-messages a week from them. I really like Florida because it's close to home and I like (Steve) Addazio."
