Are the Noles on Top for Jax LB?

The past few years' the Seminole coaches have had their pick of the litter at linebacker. This year the Noles have only offered one linebacker. Recently, the 6-foot-2 and 205 pound standout from Jacksonville (Fla.) Forrest returned from the Florida State football camp.

"I really liked my experience at Florida State," Brandon Hicks said. "The coaches there were very enthusiastic. I got to see the players work out and I got to see the weight room."

Hicks also visited with the Miami Hurricane recently and he will visit Florida in a couple of weeks.

"Miami was impressive as well," he said. "I got to meet the entire coaching staff and Larry Coker is cool."

Where do the Noles stand with the other teams on his list?

"Florida State is on top of everyone else right now because they are showing me the most interest," he said. "They are only recruiting one linebacker which is me. Coach Steele got on me a lot at the camp and I liked that a lot. He's going to make sure you get the job done."

Hicks is going to go through the recruiting process and he's in no hurry to make a decision.
