Seminole offensive line coach Mark McHale got some good news today when a 6-foot-5 and 272 pound standout from Deland (Fla.) committed to Florida State. Last night he visited Florida's Friday Night Lights but today he made up his mind to wear the Garnet & Gold.

"I called Coach McHale and Coach Sexton about 30 minutes ago to commit," Will Furlong said. "They were very excited and they want me to come up for a bunch of games in the fall. I'm done taking visits to other schools now."

Furlong didn't have the best experience in Gainesville and his decision to commit to Florida State was an easy one.

"They liked me but I just didn't think it was a good fit with Florida," he said.

Furlong, who is fully qualified, is the Seminoles second offensive lineman commitment of the 2007 class.
