A Visit to FSU Looms for Five-Star DT

The Seminoles are in a heated battle with Gators over the Scout.com No.2 defensive lineman in the country. Renegade Report.com has learned that the 6-foot-5 and 275 pound standout from Seffner Armwood is a huge fan of watching videos on the internet.

"I've watched about all of them there is to watch," Torrey Davis said. "When I watch mine, it looks average to me. However, other people tell me that I'm pretty good. A Florida coach told me that I have the quickest feet that he's ever seen. I've watched Marvin Austin's video because I want to know what makes him the No.1 lineman in the country. He's a strong dude. He's more of a bull-rusher than me and it looks like he just overpowers people."

What's the latest on Davis since he's camped at Florida?

"I've called Coach Drayton (Florida) and Coach Odell (Florida State)," he said. "Florida State wants me to come up and visit not this weekend but the following weekend. I want to go up there and hang out and meet some of the players."

Which school has the upper hand for the Sunshine State's top defensive lineman?

"It's all even now," he said. "Florida has been my number one school from day one and my cousin Andre Caldwell says that Florida is the place to be. It looks like the Gators are signing all the great players. I'll have to see Florida State before I decide where I want to go."

Davis will make his public commitment to the school of his choice around August 18th at his high school. After his trip to Tallahassee, don't look for him to take any more trips to any other schools.

"D'Angelo (McCray) would like me to visit USC with him but I don't want to waste that schools time or money because I'm interested in Florida and Florida State," he said.
