Tonight's contest between the Florida State Seminoles (3-1, 1-1 ACC) and the North Carolina State Wolfpack (2-2, 1-1) is a must win for two teams hoping to keep pace with the rest of the conference.
As is the case seemingly every year since NC State head coach Chuck Amato took over at his alma mater, the game's have been close. In fact, NC State has proven to be one of the only teams in the ACC that has had FSU's number on a consistent basis.
Since Amato took control of the 'Pack, he boasts a 3-3 record against the school that he was an assistant coach at for 18 years.
Tonight the two squads will go to battle with kickoff slated for 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
Brandon Mellor's Prediction:
These things I know are true:
1. The game is going to be close.
2. The Wolfpack (like Clemson when they play FSU) will have a few tricks up their sleeves.
3. And that's it.
Simply put, there is no telling which FSU team shows up tonight. Will it be the one that came out for the first three games of the year or the one that put on a show against Rice?
If it's true that indeed the offensive playbook has been opened up than I think the Wolfpack may be in for a long night. If not, it's going to come down to the wire.
My guess: FSU 24 NC State 14
