Gallon, Hayes and Fagg to play

Looking to upset the Wake Forest Demon Deacons at 8 p.m. on ABC Saturday, Florida State will need as many healthy bodies as possible. As of Thursday, it looks like they will have a few more than last week.

The Florida State linebacker corps will get a boost Saturday against Wake Forest as standout sophomore Geno Hayes is set to return to the lineup.

Hayes said Thursday that a starting lineup had yet to be set but that he "definitely would play."

Another linebacker, redshirt sophomore Rodney Gallon, will be in the lineup in some fashion as well.

The Tallahassee native sustained an injured neck early against Virginia last weekend but has bounced back this week at practice.

"I am going to play, I am just not sure how much," Gallon told "My neck feels better, the muscles in it were tight but it's fine. I will get to play some."

Offensively, the Tribe will get back the services of junior receiver De'Cody Fagg, who was injured in the loss to Boston College a few weeks ago.

"My ankle is still a little tender, but I was out there running today and I looked better than I have any other day," Fagg said. "Once the soreness and tenderness settled down I'm ready to go. The limp is going away and I'm back to running all of my routes at full speed so I'm ready for Saturday."

Interestingly enough, though, is that Fagg will not be in the starting lineup. Instead, redshirt junior Joslin Shaw will make the start. The decision to come off the bench was actually that of Fagg's.

"I made every practice this week, but I'm not going to start," he said. "I'm going to let Joslin start and I'll come in off the bench and be ready to go. I think I'd be able to play the whole game if I had to."
