Where do the Seminoles stand with McNeil?

Standout safety has a shortlist of schools he is interested in.

Michael McNeil is one of the top safeties in the southeast and has an impressive shortlist of programs that he is interested in.

This past Saturday, he took in the Florida State-Florida game in Tallahassee. It was his first trip to the FSU campus for a game.

"It's good. I am having fun," McNeil told RenegadeReport.com at the time.

The W.P. Davidson (Mobile, AL) High standout has a few schools that he considers to be his favorites.

"I like Alabama, Auburn and Florida State," McNeil said. "They are my top three."

So when will the 6-foot-2 and 200-defender make a decision?

"I am gonna choose one of them after I take all of my visits," McNeil said.

It is always tough to pull Alabama prospects away from state powerhouses Alabama and Auburn but the Seminoles have something working in their favor: defensive coordinator Mickey Andrews.

"Coach Andrews is a great coach. We get along really well and I could see playing for him," McNeil said.

McNeil also mentioned that playing time is a determining factor in which school he chooses. He does not want to redshirt his freshman year.
