Paced by two standouts playing in their home state, FSU defeated Georgia State 87-55 Thursday night.
Toney Douglas led all scorers with 25 points while Al Thornton added 20 of his own.
Douglas was on fire from 3-point range as he hit five of his six shots from long range. He was 10-of-15 from the field and recorded three steals and had two assists.
Thornton, who shot 50 percent for the game, posted nine rebounds to go along with a block, two steals and two assists.
The Seminoles started the game on a 17-0 run before the Panthers made a run of their own early in the second half. FSU never let the hosts come closer than 16 points.
Jason Rich was the third Seminole to score in double figures as the starting guard achieved 10 points and had three steals. Isaiah Swann and Jerel Allen each scored eight points apiece. Swann had a game-high seven assists.
The Seminoles return home after two road games to face SE Louisiana Sunday at 2 p.m.
