Davis 'had a great time' in Tallahassee

Is the Lynn Haven-Mosley tailback still committed to Auburn and where does FSU stand after his visit?

Four-star tailback Enrique Davis is back home in Lynn Haven and making the short drive east to Tallahassee this past weekend.

Did the visit to FSU change his mind about about a verbal pledge he gave to the Auburn Tigers in October?

"I'm committed to Auburn," he said Sunday. "Everything was great there."

Despite the fact that his visit to Florida State didn't change his mind completely, it went a long way in terms of putting FSU back in the picture.

He even got to meet new running backs coach Dexter Carter.

"I had a great time with the players and the coaches," Davis said. "Coach Carter, he was good to talk to. "I got to know a lot of the players. Xavier Lee - he's a good guy. And I was around the other (prospects)."

Davis is interested in playing right away and that is something that could present itself if he were to choose Florida State.

"I want to play early," he said.

Davis also went on to say that he will make a final decision sometime before National Signing Day. While he is still committed to Auburn, he lists FSU as a close second.

"They are my final two," he said.
