Al Thornton's 22 points and eight rebounds and Toney Douglas' game-tying free throws with just over nine seconds to play were not enough to get the Seminoles over the ACC road-game hump.
Instead, Sean Marshall's successful 3-pointer as time expired gave the Eagles an 85-82 victory and kept Florida State winless on the road in the conference.
The Seminoles fell to 14-6 and 2-4 in the ACC while Boston College improved its record to 14-5 and 6-1.
In addition to Thornton, guards Isaiah Swann and Jason Rich contributed on the offensive end with 13 and 15 points, respectively. Douglas added 10.
Next up for FSU is a home game against Wake Forest this Saturday at 4 p.m.
