Does Elliott still have interest in FSU?

Ole Miss commitment Robert Elliott reveals where the Seminoles stand in his recruitment.

As the recruiting process draws closer its end, Florida State could use a little good news and perhaps a surprise or two from some standout prospects.

Despite a solid commitment to Ole Miss, four-star tailback Robert Elliott very well could become one of those surprises.

The 6-foot-1 and 200-pounder says that Florida State is still in the mix for his services.

"I am definitely interested in FSU," Elliott told Renegade Report. "It's a great school and it's really nice. I could see myself playing there in college."

Elliott visited Tallahassee the weekend of January 19 and came away very impressed.

"The facilities are the best that I have seen on any of my visits," Elliott said. "The program is one of the best in the country and the school is good. They love the football team there."

It has been mentioned in reports that Elliott has placed a great deal of importane on getting a jersey number in the single digits at his college of choice.

At Florida State that may be easier said than done but the No. 8-ranked running back in the country that it really doesn't matter.

"I mean, I want to get a number like that but it doesn't factor into my decision," Elliott said. "I am going to go to a school that fits me no matter what number I get. FSU could be it but I don't know yet.

Elliott said that he will make his final decision on or around national signing day.
