Renegade Report has confirmed that Florida State received a verbal commitment from Panama City-Bay Senior High School athlete Bert Reed over the weekend.
"I did commit to Florida State," Reed told Renegade Report's Mallory Schneider via cell phone. "I am definitely going there. I liked the coaches and the players there a lot.
"I like it in Tallahassee."
Reed, a four-star prospect according to Scout.com, had what he called a "great visit" to Tallahassee last weekend.
The one-time University of Florida commitment projects as a wide receiver at FSU and should fit in nicely with new offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher's scheme.
It's likely that he will be used in a variety of ways for the Tribe thus utilizing his 4.4-speed.
