Early indications are that Florida State starting tight end Brandon Warren is poised to return home to Tennessee.
What's not known, however, is if the Alcoa, Tenn. native will stay there for good and not return to FSU.
"I don't know for sure," FSU tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator told the Tallahassee Democrat Saturday afternoon about Warren's status. "He's contemplating leaving. We had discussions as recent as (Friday)."
Warren did not immediately return a phone call made by Renegade Report Saturday.
If Warren does decide not to return to Tallahassee, it is unlikely that he would be granted a release.
In the same article posted by the Democrat, Lilly addressed recent rumors about him leaving FSU as well - but to coach at the University of Alabama.
"The University of Alabama is a tremendous place," Lilly told the Democrat. "They are going to do some tremendous things, but by the same token, I really love Florida State. It's very apparent there is about to be very special times here. I think this is a best decision."
