Brian Battle, Florida State Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, confirmed on Friday that the ACC has notified both Florida State and Clemson that football recruit Markish Jones' letter of intent to Clemson will be honored.
"The interpretation by the National Letter of Intent (N.L.I.) staff is that an N.L.I. is binding once both the recruit and parent or legal guardian sign it."
Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden released the following statement.
"We are disappointed with the decision of course, but Markish was having a very difficult time deciding between the two schools. We wish him well at Clemson in all but one game."
