Williams on FSU offer: 'It feels good'

Many people were wondering if and when Florida State would offer Vincent Williams, a linebacker from Ridge Community High who was recently named the Scout.com Combine Jacksonville MVP. That wait is now over after the Seminoles' junior day on Saturday.

"Florida State offered me this weekend," said Williams. "It feels good. It wasn't anything special, they just offered me. I can't really remember what they said."

Williams said that with the new offer he is closer to making a commitment, but there is no set schedule on when he will make a final choice.

"I'm closer to making that decision, but I want to do it when I feel comfortable. I mean if I wake up and decide that I found a place where I want to play then I will commit. There really is no favorite right now."

With two of the three in-state schools offering, in addition to offers from Alabama and LSU, Williams does think about staying closer to home for playing in college.

"Both the Florida schools are what I like, so Florida State is up there at the top (with the offer). Everybody is still tied."
