Prospect Q&A: T.J. Bryant

The nation's top-ranked defensive back shares the latest in his recruitment with NoleDigest.com.

Q: How does it make you feel to be named Scout.com's No. 1-ranked defensive back?

T.J. Bryant: It feels good. I knew that I was before the list came out. I just feel personally I am the best this year. My confidence sets me apart.

Q: What in particular makes you feel that you are the best corner in this year's class?

TB: I don't think anyone works harder, and just my footwork. Everyone has been telling me that my footwork sets me apart. Ever since I was younger I have been playing against older kids. I have never played against kids my age. From pee-wee on ... I just started early.

Q: Off the top of your head, how many offers do you have?

TB: Over 50.

Q: From whom?

TB: FSU, LSU, Miami, UF, ND, USC, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn

Q: Are you anywhere close to a top 5?

TB: No, I am not really thinking about it right now.

Q: Is anyone recruiting you as a two-way player?

TB: No. Schools are looking at me as a shut down corner.

Q: Are you planning on taking any visits -- unofficial or offical -- anytime soon?

TB: No, not really. I have made unofficials this past year. I may take some unofficals to some games this year.

Q: Are there any schools sticking out?

TB: No, I am keeping my options open. I don't want to make a mistake. I am just bidding my time really.

Q: What interests you about FSU?

TB: Just that they always have top players that go on to do well in the NFL.

Q: Have you taken any tests yet?

TB: No.

Q: How is track going?

TB: I have districts (Tuesday). I am running the 110 and 300 Hurdels, 4x100 and 4x400.

Q: When do you plan on deciding? Are you going to be a signing day decision?

TB: Well, I will probably be a signing day decision.

Q: Do you keep in touch with any recruits?

TB: I don't talk to too many people. I have spoken to a few. I let my mom talk to most of the people.
