Florida State offers North Carolina athlete

Talented prospect from Bunn High School has a growing list of college suitors and the Seminoles are the latest in that group.

Scout.com's Miller Safrit first reported Monday night that North Carolina Bunn High School athlete Brandon Barnes has picked up an offer from Florida State.

The 6-foot, 180-pound athlete played both offense and defense as a junior a season ago. As a tailback and wide receiver, Barnes achieved over 800 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns. He added two more scores as a kick returner.

Defensively, Barnes posted five interceptions and 77 tackles in the secondary.
