Avis Commack is FSU's 10th commitment

Wide receiver joins fellow high school teammates Jermaine Thomas and Nigel Carr as soon-to-be 'Noles.

It looks like Florida State will have a trio of high school football teammates joining the roster in 2008.

Avis Commack, a 6-foot-4 and 182-pound wide receiver, has committed to the Seminoles.

The Jacksonville First Coast High star is the third athlete to commit to FSU, joining tailback Jermaine Thomas and linebacker Nigel Carr.

"Florida State is a real good school," he told Scout.com in a previous interview. "I went up there for Junior Day and everything looked good to me. They're more of a running team but I think I can go in and change that. Plus, two of my teammates have already committed there so that would make it easier."

As a junior a season ago, Commack posted 43 receptions for over 600 yards and 10 touchdowns.

He has a 2.7 GPA and has already taken the SAT and ACT.

"I work harder and I can go up and get the ball better than most guys," Commack told Scout.com. "I'm a playmaker and I just feel like I'm a better all-around player than most of those receivers."

Commack chose FSU out of a top five that also included South Carolina, Miami, Minnesota and Georgia Tech.
