Alexander's commitment: '100 percent solid'

Pennsylvania speedster - FSU's 11th addition to '08 recruiting class - is excited to be a Seminole. What stood out about FSU for you to make a commitment?

A.J. Alexander: The coaches and the players really. They are on the come-up. I just felt it was the place for me.

ND: What position are you being recruited to play?

AA: I am going to play running back and reciever. I spoke to Coach (Jimbo) Fisher today and he told me they want to use me like Skyler Green was used at LSU. I'll line up in the slot and help the return game.

ND: What other schools were you considering?

AA: Penn State, Georgia and Pitt. A lot of people thought I was going to go to Penn State.

ND: What are some of your strengths and weaknesses as a player?

AA: My speed is my biggest strength as well as my quickness. I feel my biggest weakness is my height.

ND: How did you do in the state track meet?

AA: Well, I got second, which isn't too bad. I ran a 10.88 in the final. In the semifinal I ran a 10.75. I did run the fastest time in the state this year at my district meet when I ran 10.64.

ND: Do you talk to any other recruits?

AA: Yeah, Nigel Carr, Nigel Bradham, Moses McCray and Nick Moody. They recruited me a lot before I was committed.

ND: Did your relationship with Nick Moody have any impact on your decision?

AA: Yeah, I would say it did. We have become pretty good friends. I wouldn't mind rooming with him at FSU.

ND: How firm is your commitment?

AA: 100 percent solid. I am going to take one offical to FSU.

ND: Anything else you want to say that hasn't been said yet?

AA: Go Seminoles!

-AJ reports that he has been fully qualified since January and, as of right now, he has no summer plans.
