FSU is one of Thomas' favorites

Dallas Thomas, an offensive lineman from Baton Rouge-Istrouma, (La.), has received several scholarship offers and will hit the camp circuit beginning at LSU. Thomas talks about summer plans and names his favorite schools.

"I am going to the LSU camp Saturday," Dallas Thomas said. "I am then going to the Tennessee camp. I am going to the Alabama and Florida State camp as well."

"I haven't received any new offers lately. I think I have about 10 offers right now."

Thomas named favorites as Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Ole Miss. All schools are equal for his services.

Alabama: "Coach [Burton] Burns is a cool dude. I have talked to him a few times, and I like him."

Florida State: "I have talked to Jimbo [Fisher] a few times. He told me they like me, and they have offered. They want me down at their camp."

LSU: "I like their strength program, and I like coach Les Miles."

Ole Miss: "I like their academic program. The coaches are really cool. I like coach 'O' [Ed Orgeron] and coach [Frank] Wilson. They are both real cool."

The 6-foot-5, 252-pound offensive lineman is uncertain of a time-frame for his college decision, but several key factors will play an important role in landing his signature.

"I don't know when I will decide. I am going to look at how many football players graduate, and if they have the program I want to major in. I would like to major in Kinesiology," Thomas said.
