Manuel placing great importance on FSU visit

One of the top quarterbacks in the country, E.J. Manuel will visit Tallahassee on June 23 to cap off his scheduled trips to schools. In this exclusive interview, the Virginia Bayside High (Va.) standout talks about how important his trip to Seminole Country is as he gets closer to making a decision. How was your visit to UNC?

E.J. Manuel: I had a great time there. Coach Davis, Coach Blake and the other coaches are great. I had a lot of fun. It was flawless. I really didn't find any flaws.

ND: Are you excited about your visit to FSU?
EM: Yes, sir. I will be there on the 23rd. This is a very, very important visit for me. I have knocked out my visits to LSU, Miami, UNC, Maryland, Penn State and Rutgers. I just want to get a good feel for FSU. I plan on going there and spending time with the coaches, especailly Coach Fisher and Coach Bowden. They have a meeting set up with the President of the University for me becuase he used to play there.

ND: Are there any particular things you'd like to see on your visit?

EM: Just whatever they have planned for me. I would like to see some of the workouts and all.

ND: Do you have any other visits set up?

EM: This recruiting thing is pretty hectic. I don't have any visits set up after my FSU visit. I will go to one as this recruiting thing goes if I need to. These vistis are expensive and all.

ND: There are some rumors floating around that you are a silent commitment to a school. Care to speak on that?

EM: Its just a rumor. I have nothing more to say about that (chuckles..)

ND: Are you still keeping in touch with recruits?

EM: Yes, sir. I am talking to some kids in general, not ones going to particular schools.
