Where does Arthur stand right now with recruiting?
BB: He has a final 22 schools and he is just learning about each. Nothing is going to change until early September.
What coaches is he hearing from at FSU?
BB: He hears from John Lilly and Chuck Amato.
What about FSU interests Arthur?
BB: It's FSU. They have history and tradition. The scenery. I have told him about the state of Florida and the weather there. I personally know about FSU from Kam Wimbley, who I coached and trained. He gives Arthur advice on the process overall, not anything in particular about FSU. He told Arthur that he chose FSU because he loved them, and that Arthur needs to do the same for his choice. They have chatted on 3 different occasions.
What are the characteristics that will play in Arthur's decision?
BB: Many things really, but a few in particular. The coaches are important, especially his position coach in general. The class size of the university will play a part. The diversity the school has will play a role. Just the overall comfort, which all of those aspects play into. The environment and the players around him will also play a role in his final decision.
Why did Arthur decide to play in the Army All-American game over the ESPN game?
BB: The best competition will be at that game. One of the aspects we
considered is that Arthur really wants to play along side Nigel Bradham at the
game. He wants to see how he plays and how they play together. At this time, he
has never spoken to Nigel.
