DL Shines at FSU Camp

Everett Dawkins of Byrnes High School in Duncan, S.C. has been a standout at Florida State's summer camp. NoleDigest caught up with him for an update.

At 6-2 and 250 pounds, Everett Dawkins is a defensive line prospect with the size to play inside at tackle and the quickness to be an end. 

He has been a standout at Florida State's summer camp, and NoleDigest caught up with him for an update on his recruitment.

What have you been learning at the camp?

ED- I've been learning a bunch of drills from the coaches. Jody Allen is a good coach and I like him a lot.

When did FSU first get interested in you?

ED- They first saw me in Spring Ball. They started showing a lot more attention.

What FSU Greats do you compare your game to?

ED- They have had a whole bunch of talent. It's too early right now to compare myself to the former greats who played here.

What schools are you interested in?

ED- FSU, Wake Forest, Wisconsin, and Virginia Tech

What position do you want to play in college?

ED-Defensive End

What are your strengths as a player?

ED-My speed and quickness. I run a 4.6 40 yard dash.

How are your grades?

ED-I am on the honor roll at school. My GPA is a 3.2

Will you be attending the "Seminole Showcase"?

ED-I am going to see if I can make it.

When will you be making a decision?

ED-I am going to wait until later to make a decision but I will make an official visit to FSU.
