Myron Rolle Q & A

Noledigest had the opportunity to catch up with Myron Rolle recently to speak about Colorado, and his talk with former Defenive End Coach Jim Gladden.

How do you think the defense played against Colorado

The defense played well against Colorado. We almost recorded a shutout, but we let up a touchdown late in the game. The altitude was definitely a factor early in the game. You had to breathe slowly to adjust to the thiness of the air. Another thing about Colorado was that the people were very nice. At the hotel, the stadium, the players and even the coaches. Coach Hawkins came on to the defense team bus after the game and told us that we played well. I have never seen that kind of warm reception from an opposing team. They are truly first class people.

I got a pep talk from Coach Gladden this week. He told me that I have as much or more ability than anyone FSU has ever recruited here, but I must take one more step into my tackles and let my confidence match my great ability. President TK Weatherall told me to get the defense tackling better and that things will be OK for us this year.

Since we have a bye week several players are leaving town. I am interested in watching some college games.
