Myron Rolle Q & A

Noledigest had the opportunity to catch up with Myron Rolle recently to speak about his thoughts on the Miami game, how he met Duke Head Coach Ted Roof and the upcoming game with Duke.

What are your thoughts about the Miami game?

Miami was a good team with some talented players, but I feel we lost the game in the 4th quarter with mistakes that hurt us. This week in practice, the coaches have stressed finishing more than anything else. That should help us in our future games.

What can you tell us about this week's game with Duke?

This is not the typical Duke team. They have talented skill players on offense that can hurt you if you slip up. I went to the Duke Football Camp when I was in the 8th grade and met Coach Roof. We have kept a good relationship since then. He is a great person. Vince Oghabassee is also a good friend of mine. We are both Watkins Award men. He wears #3 too so we have been teasing each other about which #3 will prevail.

Some people have come to me and asked if we were still a united team. I have answered yes. We had a tough, but productive week of practice and we are ready to finish now.
