Q & A with Commitment #19

Saturday Florida State found out that they have a new defensive end that just joined their already stellar class. NoleDigest took the time to talk with Everette Dawkins and see how he is feeling now that he is a Seminole.

When did you know you wanted to come to Florida State?

It's something I've been thinking about for a couple weeks, but I just decided to finalize it this week. Coach (Jody) Allen came down to Byrnes and that showed me a lot since he had to drive back to Florida State that same night. That just showed me a lot about how much he was really looking forward to me coming there.

How did you like the Bobby Bowden Football Camp you attended over the summer?

It was fun. I met a lot of people down there and I just feel in love with the hot weather. That, the coaches and everything was just really nice.

Do you plan on taking an official visit here soon?

I'll probably take one in January. I have a lot of all-star games I'm gonna go to before then.

Do you plan on visiting any other school or just Florida State?

I think that's what I'm gonna do. Just Florida State.

What do you look forward to most about coming and playing at Florida State?

The great recruiting class that's coming here next year. That's the thing that I'm most looking forward to. We got a lot of guys coming with a lot of talent. We feel like we can come in and help get Florida State back to where they've been in the past.

What do you want to bring personally to Florida State?

A great defensive end. I want to use my speed and help make the line better than it already is and just help out a lot.
