Myron Rolle Q & A

Noledigest had the opportunity to catch up with Myron Rolle recently to speak about his thoughts on the UF game, Tebow's progression from high school, and thoughts about bowl preparation.

What are your thoughts about the UF Game?

Florida is a very good football team. We knew to beat them we would have to play enthusiastically and mistake-free. Unfortunately, that did not happen for the majority of the game. They have great offensive players and the live atmosphere in Ben Hill Griffin stadium was certainly an advantage for the home team. Overall, do I think Florida has better talent? No. do I think they out-performed us on Saturday? Yes.

What do you think about Tebow's progression?

I played with Tim Tebow in the US Army High School All-American game. There were several Gator players on our East team, but we did not run the same offense that Florida runs. From that game to now, Tebow has improved. His decision making skills coupled with the weapons he has surrounding him is the recipe for a very dangerous quarterback.

What is the plan for you and your teammates now?

The Strength and Conditioning coaches are taking over right now. Since there is no game this week and final exams are next week, there will be time to study film, lift and condition. The regular season has culminated, but we have a bowl game for which we must prepare. The good thing about the break between the last game of the season and the bowl game is that you have more than enough time to improve your game, study the opposing team and put in any new packages for the game.
