There was talk last week that Ed Imeokparia would visit the Florida State Seminoles last weekend, but after an in-home visit with Chuck Amato, things couldn't get worked out. After discussion this week it looks like a visit may be on for this weekend. Ed tells NoleDigest one detail would make the visit a done deal, saying, "I spoke to Coach Amato today (Tuesday). My visit is still up in the air right now. I only have one more official visit to take so I want to put more thought into it. If I got the offer it'd help the decision a whole lot. Coach Amato spoke to me about the possibility and some stuff like that."
The Seminoles aren't the only team that has turned the heat up a little bit on Imeokparia. Tennessee offered him a scholarship this past Sunday and Penn State has been talking to him about extending an offer, but it seems as though he's waiting on the Noles. "The offer could be coming in the near future. FSU is still in it for me and getting that offer will really make them one of my top schools. They're one I'll be considering in the end," stated Imeokparia.
Last weekend Ed decided to take an official visit to North Carolina to see what the Tar Heels had to offer. He said the visit was good, saying, "Butch Davis is a great coach. There is a lot of support from the fans and the school staff there. They are getting better. It was a great visit and they are one of the several places I have to choose from."
It looks like Ed is really waiting on the offer from Florida State to ensure his last official visit is not wasted. He did mention that "I've got this week and next to make my last visit, so in a few days I'll know if I'm coming for sure this weekend". If the Noles extend the offer there is a very good chance Imeokparia will be apart of this class. If not, look for him to maybe visit Tennessee or some place else going into Signing Day.
Stay tuned to NoleDigest as we track the recruitment of Ed to see if he gets the offer he's waiting for and to see if he'll make it down to FSU.
