Anthony Hill was the first commitment for the 2008 recruiting class, and after a stellar senior season, was named to the All-State team. After suffering through injuries his junior season, Hill showed the ability he has that made the Seminoles take his commitment so early in the process. This weekend he made his long-awaited visit. He said it was what he expected, saying, "the visit was great; a very good time. Any questions I had, they were ready and able to answer. We talked about the future of the team and me as an individual. It was perfect."
Even tough Hill has remained extremely solid since his commitment almost a year ago; he said there were a few things he wanted to check out. From getting a more in-depth look at the program and the academic side of things, Anthony achieved his goal. "I wanted to get more of an in-depth look at the program. I got more of an understanding of what's expected and all that. It's not that I had questions; but I just wanted to learn as much as I could. The academic side of things was good. I haven't declared a major yet but I have a good idea as to what I want to do. I think I'm going to get my degree in Business Management and do something with real estate companies," said Hill.
For a player that's been around the school for quite some time and whose made it to several games, Anthony told NoleDigest that he was happy he got a chance to hang out with the players and speak to some recruits. He said, "My host Bert Reed was really cool. We got along pretty well. I've known him for a while because we played against each other and all that. I hung out with a bunch of players and tried to help us recruit. The people were surrounded by players recruiting them, and I did my part. A lot of them listed and liked what they were hearing. You know these guys show recruits a good time at FSU."
With an excellent visit completed, one aspect has remained in the head of Anthony about his visit. "The one thing that really stood out to me was when we went into the lockeroom. We went in there and they had jerseys with our high school numbers on them. They also had the crystal ball in there from the National Title. We got to put the jerseys on and hold the ball. That was pretty awesome. Doing that makes me really want to win my own at FSU," stated Hill.
On Wednesday Hill will be making it official when he signs his National Letter of Intent for Florida State. It's Anthony's dream school, and he is excited that very soon he'll be realizing the dream. He said, "The visit was a perfect 10. I had a good time and it was everything I expected it would be. It really showed me that FSU is the right place for me. I can't wait."
