Lonnie Pryor Diary Entry

Lonnie Pryor concluded his summer tour of schools this past week when he visited Florida State for their Seminole Showtime Camp and LSU's summer camp. In this week's diary entry Lonnie talked about his visits and his plans as he heads into fall camp in a few weeks.

Entry No. 19

I had the best time I've ever had at the Showtime camp. It was fun and I had a blast. Seeing all of the coaches and working with Coach Carter was great. He showed me a lot of attention. Also I thought it was cool being coaches by Leon Washington. That was fun. He was teaching me how to hold the ball better and just coaching me up. Overall, it's just the best time I've ever had there.

After the camp at FSU I went to LSU to visit them. I didn't do the camp. It was just another unofficial there. It went great and I had a good time. Talking to Coach Porter and Coach Lane was cool. I also talked to Coach Miles and I got to hang out with Charles Scott again (LSU running back). Coach Miles was just telling me again how much they like me and how I fit there as a player.

My teammate was with me so I did the tour again and then we went downtown to more of Baton Rouge that I didn't get a chance to see before. Russell Sheppard was there and he was talking to me about what they're doing at LSU. I hooked up with Chris Davenport (at the time he hadn't committed) and he was telling me how great it is there.

While the visit to LSU was good I'm going into my senior year with FSU as the solid leader with a good lead. The camp at FSU really made an impact on me and helped solidify things for me.

One of my friends was telling me that I was featured in the Tallahassee paper and in the news so when I get home I am going to Google the newspaper to see it and then put it on my MySpace page. I think that's pretty cool.

I spent a lot of time making visits this summer so now that those are over it's time to focus on the task at hand and that's my senior year. Now I just plan on getting ready for camp by working hard in the weightroom and going from there. I can't wait for this year.
