FSU Recruit Roundup

Several Florida State recruits had excellent games yesterday. In this week's round-up of the Seminoles commitments and targets NoleDigest spotlights yesterday's top performances, such as Lonnie Pryor's dominating performance against Sebastian River and Orson Charles' astonishingly efficient night.

Round-up for 9/26

- Ed Stinson sat out South Dade's game and Xavier Rhodes missed his game for Norland with a shoulder injury.

- Orson Charles- He dominated his old team, Tampa-Riverview, as he went for 137 yards and 2 scores. Here is a quote from TBO.com from Charles about the game, "I wanted to show my teammates that I was all in for them and I wasn't thinking anything about Riverview. The (Sharks) may be my old team but I was going to step up and produce for my new team."

- Lonnie Pryor is continuing to have a good year even though teams are stacking the box on him. He was a workhorse for Okeechobee last night as he had 31 carries for 271 yards and 1 TD. He also had a receiving TD of 21 yards. - Demonte McAllister's stats weren't available, but Alonso beat Leto 43-14.

- 2010 recruit Christian Green had a good game for Tampa Catholic as he was 10-20 for 145 yards and 2 TD passes. Green played the game on a gimpy ankle.

- Rodney Smith- Entering this game he was the leading receiver in Miami-Dade County. He had 2 catches this week in Archbishop Carroll's big win, but he took an onside kick 50 yards to the house to seal the game.

- Gerald Demps had a 1 yard TD run in Lowndes 28-14 win over Taft.

- Jawanza Starling and CJ Mizell faced off against each other in Lincoln's 44-27 win over Leon. I couldn't find any individual stats for them.

- No stats were available for JaJuan Harley as his team lost to Wakulla 22-21.

- Brandon Jenkins' Florida High team posted another shut-out, and he chipped in with a few sacks while being doubled and triple teamed all night.

- Byrnes broke a 3 game losing streak to Gaffney as they won 42-14. Marcus Lattimore broke the school's career all-time rushing record last night and had 220 yards and a couple TDs. Justin Bright said he "had a lot of tackles" but that Gaffney "didn't pass much."

- Willie Haulstead had an excellent game showing his versatility as a playmaker. He had 3 catches for 78 yards and 3 rushed for 97 yards and a TD.

- Willie Downs is dominating this year, and this week was no different in Godby's 54-3 win. He had 3 catches for 93 yards and 2 TDs.

- Henry Orelus helped lead Glades Central's offense to over 500 yards in their 43-0 win over Clewiston. No stats were available for 2010 recruit Fred Pickett.

- Jon Bostic- He, combined with the other starting back for Palm Beach-Central, rushed for 184 yards in their 35-0 win over Lake Worth.

- 2010 recruit Lamarcus Joyner didn't have a game this week.

- Branden Smith helped lead his team to a 20-7 win over Carver-Atlanta. No stats were available.
