Justin Bright has remained committed to Florida State since his commitment over the summer. The 3-star standout from Byrnes High School made a visit to North Carolina last weekend to check out the game against North Carolina. According to Justin the visit was nothing but a chance to see a game in person, and it did nothing to deter him from his commitment to the Seminoles.
"That's the thing about the visit," said Bright. "I don't want people to think anything of it. I just went up there to see the game. I think Butch Davis is doing well there but I am not going anywhere else but FSU."
Justin told NoleDigest that a host of schools are still coming after him. Most schools respect his commitment while others are coming full force after him.
"Stanford is coming after me really hard," said Bright. "Coach Harbaugh calls me every week. Some of their commitments have texted me also. To be honest it's getting kind of old because I am not really interested in going out there. I like Coach Harbaugh but it's too far away."
Bright has had a good senior year so far as he's been an integral part in USA Today's #1 team in the nation. With 40 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 interceptions Justin is enjoying his last year in high school. Since he committed Justin has planned on being an early enrollee, but he told NoleDigest that plans have changed.
"I decided that I am not going to enroll early," explained Bright, "because I want to enjoy the rest of my senior year. I really don't see myself starting next year so I am not going to rush it. I'll probably play, but I was talking to one of my friends who did it (enrolled-early). He said for me to enjoy the rest of my senior year."
Justin said he expects some see some Seminole coaches this weekend for his game on Friday. He says that is something that he is looking forward to.
"I'm excited for the game this weekend because Coach Fisher, Coach Andrews, Coach Haggins and Coach Coley are all supposed to be at our game this weekend," stated Bright. "I've been getting hand-written letters from Coach Andrews so I am excited to see him and the other coaches in person."
Justin plans on making his official visit in a few weeks when the Seminoles play Clemson. Stay tuned to NoleDigest as we track the rest of his senior season, as well as the rest of the commitments for the 2009 class.
