Florida State Recruit Weekend Wrap-up

Florida State's commitments and targets were in action this weekend all across this country. In the weekly wrap-up of their games NoleDigest looks at some of their performances, like Demonte McAllister's continued stellar play.

Wrap-up from This Weekend

Maybe the biggest news from the weekend is that top ranked Byrnes lost 35-28 to in-state rival Dorman. In front of 15,000 people Marcus Lattimore had 72 yards and 2 touchdowns. No stats were available for Justin Bright, 2010 WR Jazz King, or 2010 linemen Brandon Willis and Corey Miller.

2010 running back Eduardo Clements had 12 carries for 90 yards and 2 touchdowns in Booker T. Washington's 59-0 win over Nova. He also had 1 catch for 45 yards.

Branden Smith again showed his all-purpose ability as he had 3 touchdowns 3 different ways in Washington's 42-35 win over Riverwood. He had a 75 yard punt return, a 45 yard catch and a rushing touchdown from the quarterback position.

Gerald Demps scored a couple times in Lowndes 52-14 win over Houston County.

Demonte McAllister, who had 15 sacks coming into this weekend, had 2 more in Alonso's loss to Hillsborough.

Rodney Smith has a 53 yard touchdown catch in Archbishop Carroll's 21-19 win over Gulliver Prep.

JaJuan Harley had 5 tackles and 3 PBU's in Rickards 14-7 win over East Gadsen.

Willie Downs was back in action in Godby's 40-0 win over Wakulla. He had 5 catches for 82 yards and a TD.

Jacobbi McDaniel had 5 tackles, 4 for loss and a safety in Madison's 44-28 win over Ft. White. I don't think Chris Thompson played.

No stats available for Ed Stinson in S. Dade's 26-7 loss over Southridge.

Gadsen City beat Chalkville 28-12. Dre Kirkpatrick took a punt back 85 yards for a score.

Xavier Rhodes went off this weekend in Norland's 37-18 win over North Miami. He had 18 rushes for 166 yards and 4 TD's.

Lonnie Pryor had his worst game this year in Okeechobee's 27-14 loss to Fort Pierce Westwood. He had 17 carries for 59 yards. According to his head coach, Chris Branham, the offensive line couldn't create any holes for Lonnie to run through.

Eugene Smith was 19 for 29 for 233 yards and 2 TD passes in Miramar's 28-24 win over Everglades.

Willie Haulstead had an excellent game in Titusville's 29-22 overtime loss to Merritt Island. He had 5 catches for 77 yards and a score. The TD sent the game into overtime. He also had 15 yards rushing and threw a 50 yard pass in the game.

No stats available for Olivier Vernon (DNP) in American's 39-0 loss to Northwestern. In the game 2010 running back Corvin Lamb had a 70 yard kickoff return for a score and 2 rushes for 34 yards and another score on a 13 yard run.
